Our Health Heroes and Healthy School Team work to celebrate so far...

Click on the below link to our newsletter from Science Day. Our Health Heroes were heavily involved in judging the Inventors competition which was not an easy task!

Click the link below to see what we got up to in the autumn term.

As part of Mental Health Day, the Health Heroes were asked to judge the entries for a new badge to promote positive mental health. There were some fabulous discussions about all of the entries but after much deliberation the winners were chosen. Thank you for all of your entries.

12 Days of Fitmas - What's the time Mrs Claus?

This term, Year 5 took part in an intra school dodgeball tournament. Each class played three matches against each other. The children had a fantastic time and demonstrated sportsmanship, competitiveness and great teamwork. Our overall winners were Webber 5. We look forward to holding more competitions in other year groups moving forward.

    Walk to School Week

At the beginning of December we held our first Walk to School Week of the year. We are delighted to announce the winners for the poster competition in each year group where children were asked to create a poster explaining the benefits of walking to school not only to ourselves but also to the environment. The quality of the posters was really hard to judge so well done to everyone who entered.

    Reception: Ellie R

    Year 1: Ilie M

    Year 2: Castiel O

    Year 3: Hollie R

    Year 4: Sienna L

    Year 5: Geethika M

    Year 6: Lexie H

Our overall winner on the infant site was Castiel O and our overall winner on the junior site was Lexie H. These two children each received a small prize for their amazing efforts.

Our walk to school competition, where the children completed their diaries for every day they walked to school, also astounded us. We clearly have some very fit children across the school! The results were:

    1st Grylls R

    2nd Churchill 2

    3rd Bell 1

    4th Sharman 4

    5th Hockney 3 and Webber 5

Thanks to all of the parents for all or your support with this as it would not have been such a huge success without your involvement too.
